Pastor's Prayer Retreat
The Pastor's Prayer Retreat is a time of relaxation and renewal, centered around a time of prayer and support. This retreat is open to all district pastors; both senior pastors and associates are encouraged to attend. There will be times of group prayer, as well as times of solitude and individual communion with God. The atmosphere is relaxed. It is an ideal time to get away from hectic schedules, refresh your spirit, and get to know some other district pastors on a deeper and more personal level.
The retreat is hosted by the Saint Mary's of Providence Center in Elverson, PA, providing a quiet, beautiful natural environment, as well as a number of prayerful and serene locations for prayer. Accomodations include private rooms with private baths and delicious meals.
This year's theme is "Discovering Your Identity." There will be a general schedule and some guided sessions, but the time is yours to plan. No attendance is taken and there are no expectations of participation in group events. We want this to be as restful and restorative as possible for all pastors.
The retreat will begin at 2pm on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 and end at 1:30pm on Thursday, January 26. Meals will be provided from dinner on Tuesday through Thursday lunch. The cost of the retreat is $145, but we do not want cost to be a factor if there is a need to get away for this special event - scholarships are available (please contact the district office).
